One distinguishing feature of the Serenity RPG is the use of plot points. Plot points are gained as rewards, and used to modify rolls, affect non-player characters (NPCs), or modify a situation for the benefit of the crew (usually for survival) or for cinematic effect. Some points also convert to advancement points at the end of a story or session. Advancement points are used to improve a character's skills, abilities, or attributes. Serenity at CARP(12/2008) Member Alex Johnson is running a monthly Serenity campaign, set during the Firefly series. Characters should be built as "veterans". See our registration pages at Warhorn to register - and do it quickly, because the games fill up fast!
You will need access to a copy of the Serenity RPG to build a character and play. Materials are available at our gamedays, including pre-generated characters. Not everyone can make it every time, but currently the crew has a pilot, two engineers, a Companion, a soldier, a doctor, a shepherd, and our owner, a charming gambler.
