Dave Arneson's Blackmoor was the first D&D campaign setting, back in the days when Dave Arneson and E. Gary Gygax were adding roleplaying to their miniature games. Now the setting has returned, along with what they call a Massively Multiplayer Role Playing Game]] (MMRPG), and what the rest of us call a living or shared world campaign. It's a high-fantasy setting, with enemies you can really hate, moral ambiguities, intriguing mysteries and even some good old fashioned kill-the-monster-and-take-its-stuff dungeon crawling (not all in the same episode!).
